As a native of Northwest Kansas with degrees and experience in Veterinary Technology, Nursing, Childcare, and Education Kimberly Herron brings world experiences and expectations into education. Since graduating from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Building Leadership Kimberly has integrated technology across the curriculum in STEM classrooms as a teacher and an innovation coach. The utilization of project-based research, cooperative learning, computer and ipad software and networks enhances the educational experience of students helping them achieve both academic and personal growth. Outside of the classroom Kimberly shares her passion for empowering innovative learning in developing MakerSpaces, afterschool camps, SCUBA diving expeditions, and as a director of summer space camps at the Kansas Cosmosphere. She has been recognized as a Siemen's STEM Academy Fellow, an ISTE Ignite Presenter and a Google Educator identifying her as a global leader in STEM education for students and fellow educators.
